Lock Stock & Barrel was a patriotic gun magazine that ran from September 1981 (issue 1) to [date to be checked] (issue 27). The early editions were edited by Malcolm Bone, however, publication of the magazine halted with edition 6 . In 1992 Ron Owen, who had been listed as the Advertising Manager in the early editions, re-started the magazine with edition 7 (Nov.-Dec. 1992), and infused Lock Stock & Barrel with a significant political content.
Technically, the editor of the new politicised LS&B was Jimi Hendrix, Ron Owen's dog; presumably, this was done for either humourous or legal reasons. The editorial of each edition was written from the viewpoint of the dog editor, always with an accompanying photo of Jimi (a black Staffordshire bull terrier)[1].
LS&B was published in Gympie, Queensland.
